Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

1. Purpose & Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what you may and may not do with the ESR platform (the Service) operated by ESR AI Corp., including what you may direct an AI agent to do on your behalf. It applies to every customer and every account, and it is part of our Terms of Service. If something here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms control. ESR's agents research your market, read your own business data, and produce drafts, plans, and reports for your review. As new agent capabilities go live, such as sending email, posting to social accounts, or writing to a CRM, each one operates under a specific permission you grant in your account settings and can revoke at any time. This policy governs how those permissions may be used, not just how the Service may be used directly.

2. Illegal & Harmful Use

You may not use the Service, or direct an agent, to do anything illegal, or to create content that is harmful, deceptive, or infringes someone else's rights. That includes, without limitation:

  • Any activity that violates a law or regulation that applies to you
  • Distributing malware, viruses, or any code intended to damage or disrupt a system
  • Attempting to access, extract, or expose another customer's account, data, or business information
  • Building or training a competing AI product on ESR's output or systems
  • Pretending to be a real person or organization you are not authorized to represent (impersonation)

3. High-Risk Decisions Need Your Review

You may not use agent output to materially influence a decision about someone's employment, credit, housing, healthcare, insurance, legal rights, or education without a human reviewing that output first.

This does not prohibit using ESR for hiring or HR work. Screening candidates and drafting onboarding materials are jobs ESR's Recruiter and HR Onboarding specialists do every day. It means the person is the one who decides, not the agent. In practice this is already how ESR works: nothing an agent produces leaves your account without your approval, so a human already reviews the output before it is used. This section states that expectation directly for decisions in these high-stakes categories rather than leaving it implied.

4. Browsing & Data Access

ESR's agents browse the public web as part of their normal work. Searching the web and reading public pages are two of the core tools available to every agent archetype. A Competitor Analyst runs a weekly competitor comparison; a Lead Research Analyst enriches a lead with a source link for each fact it finds. That kind of research is the product, not a violation of it.

What is not allowed is circumventing another site or system's access controls. Specifically, you may not use the Service, or direct an agent, to bypass a paywall or login wall, use credentials that are not your own, defeat a CAPTCHA or other bot detection, evade a published rate limit, or otherwise access data or systems you are not authorized to access. ESR already refuses to circumvent CAPTCHAs at the platform level, so that restriction is enforced by the Service itself, not just stated in writing here.

5. Spam, Harassment & Unsolicited Messaging

You may not use the Service, or direct an agent, to harass, threaten, or bully anyone, or to send spam or bulk unsolicited messages. ESR applies rate limits to outbound communication for exactly this reason, and you may not attempt to evade them.

6. Reselling ESR Output

You own the output your agents produce for you, and you may use it commercially, as described in our Terms of Service. If you resell that output as part of your own AI or automation service to your customers, you must disclose to them that the underlying work was produced with AI assistance. You may not represent ESR's output as a fully human-made product when reselling it as an AI service.

7. Enforcement & Consequences

If we determine that you or an agent acting on your account has violated this policy, we may warn you, restrict or revoke specific agent permissions, suspend your account, or terminate your account, depending on the severity and whether the conduct repeats. Where the violation also breaches our Terms of Service, the remedies described there also apply, including the termination and refund terms in that document.

You remain responsible for actions taken on your account, including any action an agent takes within the permissions you granted it. See Section 8 of our Terms of Service for how agent permissions work and how to review or revoke them.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service and its agent capabilities change. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
